Another Willow Farm Show Update

Wow what a show yesterday! Thank you to everyone who turned up – we were delighted to see it so well supported with in excess of 20 entries in most of the classes!
Huge thanks to all our sponsors who kindly provided such fancy rosettes and sashes. And big thanks to the team at willow farm for preparing the venue so nicely for us – the floodlights on car park and warm up arena were like Wembley stadium!!
Regrettably we did run out of ‘special’ rosettes so if u are owed one please remind me next time! Next show at willow farm – 7th December. Special Christmas show!!! Please feel free to text on day of show for class times as it is very difficult to predict how busy each show will be. Many thanks. 07949 096086

Willow Farm Show Update

I am delighted to say that our first show at Willow Farm was a big success.  We were really pleased to see it well supported and everyone seemed to love the venue – brand new outdoor arena, completely resurfaced and renovated indoor arena, very fancy show jumps and a HUGE tack shop offering 10% off (exc. feed). Thanks to such kind and generous sponsors we were also able to give away very posh rosettes along with some super prizes such as two £45 treatments from E&C Sport Therapy.

Our next show at Willow Farm is on 16th November and we really hope you can join us – all classes sponsored so we have stunning rosettes again!

WE ARE GOING TO BE RUNNING SHOWS
AT WILLOW FARM, FAVERSHAM!!!

***********FIRST SHOW IS ON Sunday 12th October**********

Yes the rumours are true! We are going to be running shows at Willow Farm, Faversham and our big launch event will be on Sunday 12th October, so please put the date in your diary.

This launch show will be show jumping from cross poles to 90cm using their brand new, very fancy BS jumps. We plan to have special prizes and a fun gala atmosphere.

For those of you who haven't been to Willow Farm recently, there have been many changes. The indoor arena has been re-surfaced and there is a brand new 40x20m outdoor arena for warm-up. The parking has also been extended to over 1 acre of hard standing and Gillett Cook now operate one of Kent's largest tack and feed stores on site. We hope you will join us for this special event…schedule available soon.

Please note that we are still running shows at Blue Barn and simply plan to add a few extra dates at Willow Farm as well.

***STOP PRESS***

SO SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE BUT THE OWNER OF BARVILLE FARM HAS JUST RUNG ME TO SAY THAT HE WOULD RATHER WE CANCELLED TOMORROW’S SHOW (Wed 27th Aug) IN ORDER TO AVOID CUTTING UP THE GROUND FOR FUTURE EVENTS.  THE EVENT WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED – POSSIBLY DURING OCTOBER HALF TERM.  PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON FACEBOOK/MY WEBSITE FOR UPDATES.  Please share…

Another mid-week show and Farming World

Well a couple of things to report this week. Firstly due to the bad weather for our annual ‘mid-week school holiday’ show (6 th August) we have had a number of requests to re-run it. So I’m delighted to announce that we will be running the same event on 27 th August (at Barville Farm) and a schedule is available to view now. Also, the Southern Counties Horse & Dog Show (Farming World) schedule is nearly finished. Please have a look at the show dates page at the end of the week where you will find a version to download (21 st September). We hope to see you there…

Blue Barn Show Jumping & Showing

Thank you to everyone who supported the gala show at Blue Barn yesterday – despite of the freak weather!  It was great to see so many of you there and what a high standard of entries. Thank you to Juliet who worked tirelessly all day to squeeze all the lorries and trailers into the car park and thanks to our judge – Kate Spillett.
Please note that working hunter usually takes place in a larger grass arena but we ran it in the sand arena as the surface was better after all the rain on Saturday.
Hope to see you all again very soon!

BS (Senior Affiliated) show update…

Due to personal circumstances I have made the difficult decision to hand over the running of the BS events to Scott Ponton (SMP events). I have enjoyed running the shows and would like to thank everyone for their kind support. All my unaffiliated shows are carrying on as usual…

Senior Affiliated Jumping at Blue Barn

Hi everyone, I'm sorry to say that due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to run our BS classes as scheduled on 5th July. We have however set up a full BS course (set by BS course builder) and are running clear round from 9am – 12noon. £5 per round. Good schooling/practice. Please just turn up and take part. Can be set to any height. Sorry for inconvenience…

Kent Festival (Horse & Dog Show)
Farming World, Faversham

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who supported the show at Farming World and what a busy show it was! Show Jumping, M&Ms, Veterans, Handsome Gelding and In-Hand Pony were some of the biggest classes with 17+ each (we did try to split them where possible). But thank you everyone for coming along, especially in that …heat! The standard was high and the winners really did deserve their rosettes today.

The dog show was also very popular and Jo Lusher commented on the quality and diversity of the entries. Once again a favourite with the spectators was ‘Best Trick’.

Thank you to all the judges, stewards, helpers and everyone who worked so hard all day to make the show possible. Thanks also to Ron for the jumps and Georgina for the use of the fabulous show ground.

Next outdoor summer show – 1st June @ Barville Farm

Open Summer Horse Show
at Barville Farm, Dover

The warm sunshine provided the perfect weather conditions for our first outdoor summer show of the year. And we were totally delighted to see the event so well supported – especially the showing which saw records entries!

One of the highlights of the day was the Class Act Scurry, kindly sponsored by Juliet in memory of Class Act who passed away recently. Riders battled it out for the 3-ribbon sash and £25 prize money.

Thank you to everyone who supported the show and big thanks also to all those who helped on the day – judges, stewards etc – and did a great job.

Next outdoor show – 18th May @ Farming World
